RALLYING AROUND FALL SPORTS

On Friday, August 31 both the Middle and Upper Schools held their first pep rallies of the year to show their spirit for all of the fall sports teams.  The Middle School classes competed for the Spirit Stick with the 5th Grade winning the brand new and large coveted spirit stick.  They will keep the stick in the 5th grade hallway until the next rally and spirit competition.  The Upper School showed their spirit by participating in a class competition tricycle race with the seniors coming out as champions.  The varsity football team introduced themselves while Coach Burnette encouraged all students to come out for the game against the St. Francis Knights.  Bryce Veach and Hannah Onley, who led the pep rally, encouraged the students to come to the game and make it a “black out,” where students wear all black.  Both divisions showed their Mustang pride by kicking off the fall athletic season with rousing pep rallies to support all of the Mustang teams.
