In Middle School, we seek to foster the School’s mission to ground all students in Christian values. Each week students participate in Chapel and Christian Education Small Groups to worship, pray, sing, and explore applications of faith and character through Bible study, service, and fellowship. We strive to embody “The Seven Checkpoints” by Andy Stanley which include 1) authentic faith, 2) spiritual discipline, 3) moral boundaries, 4) healthy friendships, 5) wise choices, 6) ultimate authority, and 7) others first.
Middle School Chapel services are held on Wednesdays from 8:45 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. Middle School Christian Education meets every other Wednesdays, alternating with Chapel from 8:45 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. Small group meetings correspond to the messages delivered in Chapel, serving to reinforce the semester's theme and allowing students a chance to explore each week’s topic in greater depth. The course is not graded.
Parents are always welcome to attend. Students actively participate in the services by leading prayers, singing songs (or playing them as part of the praise band), and dramatic performance.
