1:1 Chromebook Program

Mount Vernon Presbyterian School seeks to be the best in the world at developing and delivering a 21st century education. In keeping with this goal, the Middle School utilizes a 1:1 Google Chromebook program. Teachers and students embrace the Chromebook due to its durability, light weight, low price point, ability to start up in seconds, built-in virus protection, access to the collaborative tools of Google Apps, access to thousands of Chrome apps, and its ability to automatically back up students’ work to the cloud. Additionally, in every classroom, teachers utilize interactive technology. Students also have access to iPads, 3-D printers, and a small fleet of aerial drones. Other applications of technology in the classroom include video conferences with external experts, coding, and publishing works of literature.
